How do you use a fax machine through the internet?
Question by Seventh Day Adventist: How do you use a fax machine through the internet?
I have a regular phone line with no long distance service.
I have yahoo DSL.
I am looking into buying a printer/copier/fax at say a Best Buy or Fry’s Electronics, what models would work with faxing over the internet?
Most importantly, how would I fax using the internet and if possible bypassing a phone long distance company?

You cannot use Fax machine over the internet. Install PC to Fax software or subscribe to the internet services that can send Fax.

On Multifunctional Machines, there is a feature called Internet-Fax Features.
It is able to do 2 things.
One, it sends fax from PC via software that comes with the machine.(you do not have to get up to the fax machine send out).
Two, it forwards the faxes you got from the fax to an e-mail account you choose.
