If the material requires the same amount of ink, then yes. If you are printing and copying the same page then the ink usage is the same.

There is no difference, both use the same amount of ink using the same image.
The difference is with copies you tend to make more, so more ink is used.
Ideally if you have a lot of copies, is to take it a office type store and do it there, a “all-in-one” is not designed for volume, more for being a multipurpose device.
The copier consume the same amount of ink when printing. For example, if you print a word document then you copy it; the same amount of ink is use when copying the one that you print. So basically, you will not save when you copy. The only advantage of a copier is that you don’t have to type a document and print it. You can copy a full colored photos or just plain black and white text document.
Laser printer/copier is more expensive but you can print and copy more with a single cartridge than a inkjet or deskjet. It uses toner that have a longer lifespan than ink.
