Question about all in one printers.
Question by TedX70: Question about all in one printers.
I don’t need faxing, so are there any suggestion on all in one printer/scanner/copy machine that’s have good qualities, last long, at a cheaper price? Why is the refurbished one cheaper with the same product info?
Thanks.

Refurbished means it was broken and fixed so you are buying a repaired printer. Never ever buy a used or repaired inkjet. They have a finite lifetime. There is a used ink tank beneath the printer where excess ink collects. Once this is full, you can throw the printer out. With a used one, you never know how close to full it is.

Refurbished has been repaired, that is why it is cheaper than a new one
Hello —
HP Refurbished hardware:
Consider that Joe buys a printer a c6280 from X-mart. He gets it home and decides he doesn’t like it … there might be something wrong with it … or he might just want another machine. So he returns the machine to X-Mart and X-mart sends it back to HP. Hewlett Packard runs some diagnostics on the machine and puts it up to the factory specifications. Now the fact of the matter is that this is not a “New” machine it has been owned by another person. On the other hand HP has it running like new — it is a refurbished machine. It would not be honest to sell this machine for the same price as a new machine, but it has to be sold to recoup the loss on the refurbishing. Most of the time the refurbished machine has the same guarantee as a new machine.
I bought an IPAQ a while back that was refurbished — I saved some money and to be on the safe side I bought an extra warranty … I have had excellent service from the machine.
Hope that helps,
Bill
