Xerox Printer Repair

Copiers are one of the most needed machines in any office setting. One of these machines is the Xerox printer. From a time to time case, they are able to undergo minor troubles, which are pretty much expected during a normal printer lifespan. When any of these troubles are found, you need not to call a service professional immediately, you can have a do it yourself plan to repair these problems.

Some of the steps that one can take when troubles come up are as follows:

Faulty or no power: A printer should be connected securely to a power source that provides proper voltage and electrical configurations needed for the Xerox machine to function well. You just have to make sure that it doesn’t share with any other devices that are power hogs.

Paper jams: One should be able to see the proper loading measures to avoid any multiple paper jams that result to machine damage and a waste of office supplies. There are certain papers that are not compatible with these Xerox machines, some of which include rough papers, transparent papers and padded envelops. Moreover, you should check the paper which is going to be used if it is designed for inkjet or laser printers.

Unusual noise: Noises may show early signs that some parts are not functioning well. One should look into it. Opening the printer door and have a flashlight run through it to have a good interior look. Search and check for any foreign objects that may have found its way into the interior of the printer.  If there is none, then you can proceed to checking if the paper is properly loaded.

Cannot print: Check if the printer is properly connected to the laptop or computer and have wires and cables inspected.

Overheated printer: This problem usually occurs when the air vents are blocked and the heat is not given allowance to be released and exhausted.

Poor printing quality: One should check the toner and cartridge and find out if they really are recommended for the particular Xerox machine.

These are the basic printer problems one can encounter and one can resolve on his own.
