What kind of scanner do I need to get for a desktop?
Question by some person: What kind of scanner do I need to get for a desktop?
I have a desktop, a Dell, and need to know what kind of scanner would be good to use for it. I have Windows Vista and would like to scan some pictures to make slideshows and put on cd. What’s a good scanner that isn’t too expensive but cheap enough that it won’t mess up? Thanks.

I have an HP Photosmart C4300 all-in-one (printer, scanner, copier) that I love! $ 140 at Best Buy about 2 months ago. Very easy to use and wireless capabilities. Have been scanning all my photos recently and have absolutely had no problems with it.

I don’t mean to talk down on espon stylus but I’ve never made use or came across one yet so i don’t know about its effectiveness, but if it is an inkjet or laser printer.. you should be good, otherwise I’ll recommend you get a printer that is capable of doing iron-ons such as hp all in one which can be purchased at a low price from most stores both online and locally.

It’s been a while, but from what I understand it’s a really bad idea to do this. If it has a built in laser printer then you should never hook a UPS up to it. They draw too much power, and from what little I’ve googled on the subject of those copiers, it would likely ruin ANY UPS that you buy.
